Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to evaluate patients' current physical and mental health.
  • Coordinate care between patients, primary care providers, surgeons, and ancillary departments to ensure smooth surgical preparation.
  • Utilize tools like the Surgical Risk Calculator to assess and communicate surgical risks, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Provide clear guidance to patients on preoperative medications, arrival times, and surgical protocols.
  • Directly provide patient care while delegating tasks as needed to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Collaborate proactively with the care team to solve problems and improve patient outcomes.

Summary

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program. Bachelors (BSN) is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.

Must maintain current CPR certification.

Must maintain current ACLS certification.

Must maintain current PALS
