Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Support the Visual Director in managing day-to-day visual operations for Country Living and Veranda
  • Organize and maintain visual assets using Hearst systems and workflows
  • Conduct photo research to support editorial needs, brand initiatives, and shoot planning
  • Coordinate with photographers, agencies, and external partners to schedule shoots and secure stock imagery
  • Assist with administrative and production-related tasks to ensure seamless visual execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial and creative teams to support brand objectives
  • Provide flexible support for evolving visual needs and last-minute production changes
     

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • Experience in a visual editing, photo, or creative assistant role, preferably within the magazine, publishing, or media industry
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in photo editing software and a foundational understanding of photography and visual storytelling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative working style
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively manage changing priorities and timelines
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support team goals and contribute wherever needed
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
     

The base salary for this role is $30hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
