Description
The Front Desk Coordinator ensures consistency in front office operations, enhances the patient experience, and promotes efficiency in administrative workflows. This role provides courteous and efficient support by welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance information, managing incoming calls, and assisting with referrals to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients both physical and telemedicine, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Manage appointments and ensure accurate patient scheduling
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient paperwork efficiently across all HealthyU service lines
- Front office chart prep and oversight of front office logs and petty cash
- Efficient copay, outstanding balance, and deductible collections
- Collaboration with Billing department to ensure accurate patient balances
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in a professional manner
- Assist with patient referrals and follow-up appointments
- Ensure clinic compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and HealthyU policies.
- Value Base Care compliance aligned with HealthyU protocols
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a front desk, in a medical setting preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EHR systems, scheduling systems)
- Athena Experience highly preferred
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Compliance with HealthyU Clinics Value Base Care protocols
- Ensure clinic compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and HealthyU policies.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
- Reliable transportation is required for all positions, as occasional travel to other clinic locations may be necessary.
