Role Description
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Head of Technology is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy, innovation roadmap, and digital infrastructure to support business growth, operational excellence, and long-term transformation initiatives. This role oversees software development, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and emerging technology adoption while aligning technology capabilities with organizational goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the organization’s technology vision, strategy, and innovation roadmap
- Leading software engineering, infrastructure, cloud operations, and enterprise technology teams
- Overseeing technology architecture, system scalability, cybersecurity, and platform reliability
- Driving digital transformation, automation, and technology modernization initiatives
- Managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic technology investments
- Collaborating with executive leadership on product innovation, operational strategy, and business growth initiatives
- Monitoring technology performance, operational KPIs, and service delivery standards
- Supporting development of scalable platforms, enterprise systems, and customer-facing digital solutions
- Leading technology governance, compliance, risk management, and disaster recovery planning
- Building high-performing engineering and technology teams through leadership and talent development
- Evaluating emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and innovation opportunities to maintain competitive advantage
- Ensuring alignment between technology operations, customer needs, and business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, software engineering, IT management, or digital transformation roles
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology architecture, cloud platforms, and software development practices
- Experience leading engineering teams, infrastructure operations, and large-scale technology projects
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, DevOps, AI technologies, and enterprise systems
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and business problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, executive presentation, and organizational leadership capabilities
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, healthcare, logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing, or enterprise technology environments is an advantage
