Role Description The Health Officer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with flexibility for partial work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs across office, community, and project environments, with a strong focus on occupational and workplace health. The Health Officer will conduct regular health risk assessments, safety inspections, and compliance checks, and will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address health concerns and promote preventive care. Daily responsibilities include developing and delivering health and safety trainings, maintaining incident and health records, coordinating health awareness initiatives, and supporting emergency preparedness and response. The role also involves working with stakeholders in construction and other operational settings to ensure adherence to health standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in employee and community well-being.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Health and Workplace Safety, with the ability to design and implement health and safety programs.
- Experience or training in Community Health, including health promotion, awareness campaigns, and outreach activities.
- Knowledge of Construction Safety practices and regulations, especially in relation to site inspections and risk mitigation.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to deliver trainings, write clear reports, and engage diverse stakeholder groups.
- Relevant degree in Public Health, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance frameworks applicable to Indian workplaces.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare documentation, and use basic digital tools (e.g., MS Office, online reporting systems).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
