South City International School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic "Headmistress - Junior School" to lead the Pre-Primary & Primary Wings and contribute to a progressive and enriching educational environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight of the academic functions of the Junior School.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure high standards of performance and professional growth.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day school operations while maintaining discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Act as a representative of the school in interactions with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
Preferred candidate profile
Skills Required
- Demonstrated experience in an academic leadership capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of curriculum frameworks, assessment methodologies, and instructional design principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven capability to interpret and utilize data effectively for informed decision-making and continuous improvement of academic programs.
- Experience in designing and delivering professional development initiatives for teaching staff.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Dedication to promoting an inclusive, diverse, and equitable educational setting for all learners.
- Competence in leveraging educational technology to enhance teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
- Leadership skills that encourage teamwork, innovation, and the achievement of shared institutional goals.
Qualifications Required
- B.Ed. and/or TTC, along with a Master’s degree in any discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in an academic leadership role preferably in an ICSE/ISC school.
