Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the think tank’s strategic vision and goals.
- Oversee the creation and execution of research agendas and policy initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between research activities and organizational mission.
2. Research Oversight:
- Guide and support research teams in producing high-quality, impactful research.
- Facilitate the development of innovative research methodologies and approaches.
- Review and approve research outputs and ensure they meet high standards of excellence.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, and industry leaders.
- Represent the think tank at conferences, public events, and in media engagements.
- Foster partnerships and collaborations to advance the think tank’s objectives.
4. Organizational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective management of resources.
- Lead and mentor staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage budgets and financial planning to ensure organizational sustainability.
5. Policy Influence:
- Drive the think tank’s efforts to influence public policy and decision-making.
- Advocate for research findings and policy recommendations to relevant audiences.
- Monitor and assess the impact of the think tank’s work on policy and practice.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Sustainability, or a related field.
- At least [15] years of experience in environmental research, policy development, or a related field, with a minimum of [5] years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental issues and policy, with a strong track record of influencing public and environmental policy.
- Proven ability to manage complex research projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and presentation skills, with experience in engaging with diverse audiences.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience in media and public speaking.
- A creative mind with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
