Head – Taxation | Manufacturing Industry

We are looking for an experienced Head – Taxation to lead our Direct & Indirect Taxation function.
🎓 Qualification: CA / ICWA (CMA). A postgraduate degree in Taxation will be an added advantage.
📅 Experience: 10–15 Years
📍 Location: Hyderabad (onsite, full time)
Role Description
- The role is responsible for overseeing all direct and indirect tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting in alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include managing tax filings, assessments, audits, and reconciliations; reviewing transactions for tax implications; and ensuring timely payment of taxes.
- The Head - Taxation will collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to optimize tax efficiency, maintain accurate documentation, and support statutory and internal audits. The role also involves monitoring regulatory changes, advising leadership on tax risk and strategy, and improving internal processes and controls for taxation.
Preferred candidate profile:
- 10-15 years of strong expertise in direct and indirect taxation, including corporate tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory levies.
- Proficiency in tax compliance, return filing, assessments, and interaction with tax authorities and external consultants.
- Experience in tax planning, risk management, and advisory for a manufacturing or industrial organization.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and ERP or accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead a taxation team.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulatory changes, with the ability to translate them into practical business processes.
