Role OverviewThe Head – Projects & Order Fulfilment is responsible for translating Baaya’s design vision into technically sound and flawlessly executed installations.
This role leads the entire execution ecosystem, including project planning, technical detailing, vendor ecosystems, production management, costing control, logistics, and site installation.
The position requires strong analytical thinking, design to material interpretation capability and leadership across cross-functional teams, including architects, consultants, vendors, artisans, and internal designers.
The role will directly oversee complex multi-city installations such as airport art programs, hospitality projects, and large-scale bespoke artworks.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Delivery- Lead delivery for end-to-end execution of Baaya’s art and spatial installations across multiple projects.
- Translate design concepts into structured execution plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with design intent.
2. Team Leadership- Lead and mentor the project fulfilment team.
- Build capabilities in technical detailing, project management, and documentation.
- Establish clear accountability and ownership within the team.
3. Technical Design Translation- Interpret architectural, interior and specification drawings and design concepts into production-ready solutions.
- Resolve detailing, materials, mounting systems, and installation methodologies.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and internal design teams.
4. Cost Engineering & Commercial Control- Develop project BOQs, costing frameworks and procurement strategies.
- Evaluate materials and fabrication methods to optimise cost and efficiency.
- Track project budgets and maintain margin discipline.
5. Vendor & Production Management- Build and manage a network of vendors, artisans, and fabrication partners.
- Oversee fabrication quality, timelines, and technical feasibility.
- Align vendor capabilities with project requirements.
6. Site Execution & Coordination- Lead site coordination with architects, contractors, and client teams.
- Ensure installations meet engineering, safety, and quality standards.
- Supervise installation planning and on-site problem resolution.
7. Systems & Process Development- Develop SOPs for project execution, procurement, and logistics.
- Implement structured tracking for timelines, costing, and documentation.
- Improve operational efficiency across project delivery and effectively use project management software.
Required Skills - 9-12 years of experience in interior execution, spatial design projects, or custom installations, with exposure to complex project delivery.
- Graduate or Masters in relevant area.
- Strong problem-solving ability, can do attitude- with a structured approach to project challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills when working with architects, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Good commercial awareness, including costing logic, budgeting discipline, and procurement considerations.
- Strong Project Management skills with proficiency in Project Management tools like Zoho.
- Leadership capability with the ability to guide teams, delegate effectively, and maintain accountability.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills with a process-oriented approach to project execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to interpret drawings and manage technical documentation.
