Job Purpose: Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring quality standards and project requirements are met. Responsibilities include developing project plans, managing resources and budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans including scope, schedules, and resource allocation
- Work with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure effective resource utilization and manage project budgets to achieve cost efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to ensure success.
- Oversee contracts management, including vendor selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor and report on project progress, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and senior management.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and status updates to keep stakeholders informed.
- Implement and enforce robust quality management systems to meet global benchmarks in data center construction and operations.
- Drive adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, fostering a culture of safety and compliance across all project phases.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of project deliverables with AdaniConneX’s strategic goals.
- Manage testing and commissioning activities to ensure operational readiness and compliance with technical specifications.
- Monitor project schedules, risk management plans, progress reports, and project budgets for effective decision-making and stakeholder communication.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, contractors, and consultants, to ensure project alignment and success.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project management practices, leveraging digital tools and technologies.
- Oversee project completion and ensure a smooth handover to clients.

CEO Strategy, governance, reporting, decision-making, alignment
Chief Projects Officer Strategic alignment, progress reporting, and decision-making.
Design & Engineering Teams Coordination on design specifications and technical requirements.
Operations Teams Integration of project deliverables with operational readiness.
Contracts & Procurement Vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring.
EHS Department Implementation and monitoring of safety and compliance standards.
Quality Control & Assurance Teams Ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and standards.
External Consultants/Contractors Collaboration on project execution, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Civil or Mechanical or Electrical engineer.
- 24+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure construction projects, including quality, safety, and commissioning.
- Proven expertise in project management, contracts management, and EHS compliance within the infrastructure or data center industry.
- Additional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.
Type Of Experience
- Managing large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects (example: airports, power, real estate, data center, advanced technical facilities, ports, etc.)
- Extensive experience in data center construction, quality assurance, and safety management.
Domain Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of data center construction methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Expertise in quality management systems and EHS compliance specific to large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and operational readiness processes for data centers.
Digital & Operational Tools
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for design and construction coordination.
- Experience with digital tools for quality management, safety compliance, and progress tracking.
- Familiarity with most commonly used Microsoft packages like MS-Word, MS-Excel, PowerPoint.
Leadership Capabilities
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive high-performance outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated success in managing large budgets and delivering projects within financial constraints.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex project challenges.
Non-Negotiables
- Expertise in Infrastructure Construction and Project Management
- The Head-Project must possess extensive experience in infrastructure center construction (example: data center, airports, advanced technical facilities, real estate, ports, power, etc.), including planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects. This expertise is critical to ensure that the AdaniConneX vision of building a 2GW data center infrastructure platform by 2030 is achieved with global benchmarks in design, engineering, and operations. The role requires a deep understanding of project management principles to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Proficiency in Quality and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Compliance
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and EHS compliance is non-negotiable for this role. The Project Head must have a proven track record of implementing and maintaining high-quality construction standards while prioritizing safety. This aligns with AdaniConneX’s commitment to delivering digital infrastructure with speed and safety, ensuring the well-being of all stakeholders involved.
