Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for Textile Dyeing Machines. The role will be responsible for production planning, resource optimization, cross-functional coordination, and driving operational excellence to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and confirmed orders.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing schedules for textile dyeing machines.
- Monitor adherence to plans and take corrective actions to address deviations.
2. Material Resource Planning (MRP)
- Forecast requirements of raw materials and packing materials.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability.
- Optimize inventory levels to avoid stockouts and excess holding.
3. Capacity & Load Management
- Assess plant capacity, machine utilization, and manpower deployment.
- Develop capacity planning models to maximize efficiency.
- Recommend outsourcing strategies when required to balance load and meet delivery timelines.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the central link between Sales, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams.
- Conduct daily production review meetings to track progress and resolve bottlenecks.
- Align departments to ensure adherence to committed customer schedules.
5. Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
- Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, line balancing, and continuous improvement practices.
6. MIS, Analytics & Reporting
- Ensure accurate reporting of production status, WIP, inventory, and delivery performance.
- Develop dashboards for real-time monitoring of KPIs.
- Present weekly/monthly operational reviews to senior management.
7. People Leadership
- Lead and mentor production and design teams.
- Establish KPI-driven performance management systems.
- Build a culture of accountability, quality focus, and continuous improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Engineering Graduate (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred).
- Strong experience in manufacturing of textile processing equipment who can scale production with structured planning and operational discipline
