NextStep HR is hiring a Head - Production Engineering & Manufacturing. We are looking for a senior production engineering leader to join a fast-growing integrated branding and retail visibility firm specializing in large-format printing and multi-material fabrication for signage and experiential marketing. They are currently transitioning from founder-led technical operations to a structured, system-led execution model. The ideal candidate will take complete technical ownership of production, ensuring that creative designs are translated into safe, durable, and manufacturable outputs while eliminating failures at the source.

Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or Industrial) or a related technical field.
- Background: Proven track record in a senior production or manufacturing head role, ideally within a creative or branding agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Leadership: Own the entire production engineering function across in-house and outsourced manufacturing, defining SOPs and standard production methods.
- Technical Oversight: Act as the final authority on production feasibility for wood, metal, acrylic, and mixed material fabrication.
- Electrical Systems Management: Approve all electrical and illumination-related aspects, including LED modules, wiring layouts, and safety compliance.
- Vendor Engineering: Technically qualify and onboard fabrication and electrical vendors, rejecting unsound proposals or shortcuts.
- Efficiency & Quality Control: Monitor and improve yield while reducing material wastage, rework, and production firefighting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Costing, and Installation teams to resolve technical conflicts early in the process.
Key Requirements
- Industry Experience: 12–20 years of experience in production, fabrication, or manufacturing specifically within the Signage, POSM, or Retail Fixtures sectors.
- Material Expertise: Hands-on technical knowledge of carpentry, metal fabrication (MS/SS/Aluminium), and plastics.
- Electrical Literacy: Mandatory working knowledge of electrical layouts, power supplies, and safety clearances for illuminated units.
- Software Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret production drawings using CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion360.
- Leadership Style: Must possess "shop-floor credibility" to lead vendor-level technical discussions and own high-stakes manufacturing decisions.
