Role Description The Head of Treasury is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for overseeing the company’s cash management, liquidity planning, and funding strategies. This role involves managing daily cash flows, monitoring bank accounts, and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and growth initiatives. The Head of Treasury will design and implement treasury policies, manage banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and optimize working capital. They will assess financial risks, develop hedging strategies where appropriate, and collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams on capital allocation and forecasting. The role also includes preparing treasury reports and dashboards, supporting budgeting and strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization, with experience managing treasury operations for a growing business or enterprise.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to support funding decisions, risk assessments, and strategic initiatives.
- Experience building and maintaining banking and financial institution relationships, including negotiating credit lines, trade finance, and other funding instruments.
- Solid understanding of financial risk management, including interest rate, currency, and counterparty risk, and the use of appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of treasury systems, ERP or finance tools, and process automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP, CA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present complex financial information clearly to leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, exercise sound judgment, maintain high ethical standards, and implement robust controls and compliance practices.
