Company Description
We're a proprietary trading firm in Mumbai. Small team. Sharp traders. Zero corporate baggage.
We don't have an HR department. We don't have an ops playbook. We don't have policies written in stone.
We have traders who need to be hired, on-boarded, paid, and scaled. And we need someone to build the machine that does all of it.
Role Description-
Head of Talent and Operations
This is not an general HR job.
This is a founding team seat where you will build our entire people and ops function from absolute zero.
What You'll Actually Do:
→ Hire Analysts and Traders — Competitor mapping, quant community infiltration. You find them. You sell them. You close them. No agencies. No excuses.
→ Write every policy — Appointment letters, confidentiality agreements, non-compete clauses, POSH frameworks, payroll architecture. If it doesn't exist, you create it. If it's broken, you fix it.
→ Run the ops backbone — Equipment provisioning, trading floor access, vendor management, compliance under India's new Labour Codes. The traders trade. You make sure everything else works.
→ Sit with the founders — CEO, COO, CFO. Direct line. No layers. Your voice shapes who we become.
→ Scale with us — Today it's you + traders. Tomorrow it's a 30-person quant shop. You will have built the machine that built the team.
Qualifications
You are NOT:
- Someone who needs a 9-to-6 with fixed KRAs
- Someone who delegates to vendors and calls it "management"
- Someone who measures success by "process compliance"
- Someone who needs a ₹15L+ base to feel secure
You ARE:
- Hungry — You want the full picture. Recruitment, comp & ben, compliance, ops, culture, strategy. All of it. Now.
- Builder — You've seen broken systems and thought "I could do this better." Now you get to prove it.
- Operator — You figure things out. Google it. Call someone. Learn it overnight. Whatever it takes.
- Mumbai-based (or willing to move tomorrow) — This is boots-on-the-ground. Trading floor. Real time.
- 2–4 years in — Enough to know what good looks like. Early enough to still be obsessed with learning.

You will touch:
- End-to-end recruitment (sourcing → offer → onboarding)
- Compensation design under India's new Labour Codes
- PF, ESIC, gratuity, payroll architecture from scratch
- POSH compliance and ICC constitution
- Confidentiality/IP agreements for trading strategies
- Non-compete structuring and legal enforceability
- Trading floor operations and vendor management
- Direct founder partnership on org design
No silos. No "that's not my department." Just pure, unfiltered ownership.
