Role Overview

The Head – Supply Chain (STG Business) will lead and be accountable for the end-to-end operations of the STG Business Unit, with full ownership of supply chain functions including production, procurement, logistics, planning, project execution, and quality.

While the role carries a Business Unit leadership mandate, direct functional supervision of Engineering and Sales remains outside scope; however, strong cross-functional collaboration is critical to ensure seamless execution and achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the operational performance of the STG Business Unit, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and growth objectives.
• Contribute to business planning, including annual operating plans, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify business risks, opportunities, and market dynamics, and proactively drive actions to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
• Operate with a BU Head mindset, ensuring accountability for performance, delivery, and customer outcomes.
• Contribute to revenue realization through efficient execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead end-to-end manufacturing and production operations for the STG business.
• Ensure efficient functioning of manufacturing facilities in line with approved business plans.
• Oversee execution of all STG projects from order receipt to final delivery.
• Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Expand procurement activities to support both local operations and the global Turbo organization by leveraging Indian supplier capabilities for global requirements.
• Oversee end-to-end logistics, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Sales to ensure alignment on design, customer requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Actively collaborate with Turbo Production Network sites across Germany, Switzerland, and China to strengthen co-production capabilities, drive operational synergies, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Ensure strong governance, transparency, and accountability across the STG supply chain.
  
  

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Operations / Supply Chain or related
• MBA Degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management might be an added advantage.
• 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations leadership
• Proven experience managing end-to-end operations with P&L exposure
• Experience in project-based or heavy engineering industries (STG or similar preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive transformation initiatives
