Position: Supply Chain Head
About the Role:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Head to lead end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple domestic locations and support international operations. The role involves strategic planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and building scalable processes for domestic and global expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute supply chain strategy across procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and vendor management.
- Align supply chain operations with business goals, seasonal peaks, and growth objectives.
- Own supply chain P&L and drive cost efficiency.
- Build scalable frameworks to support domestic and international expansion.
2. Team & People Management
- Manage and mentor Supply Chain Managers, procurement teams, and storekeepers.
- Set clear KRAs/KPIs and ensure accountability.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Production, Operations, Sales, and Business Development teams.
3. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Lead supplier negotiations and build strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance, quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and onboard international vendors to support global operations.
4. Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee warehousing, city hubs, and nationwide distribution networks.
- Optimize transportation, delivery, and export-import processes.
- Ensure smooth international inventory movement with compliance and cost control.
5. Inventory & Demand Planning
- Forecast raw material requirements accurately.
- Maintain robust inventory systems and real-time tracking.
- Balance stock availability with working capital efficiency.
- Implement buffer and safety stock strategies for supply risks.
6. Process Excellence & Risk Management
- Introduce automation, lean practices, and standardized SOPs.
- Identify supply risks and implement contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, labor, and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in service levels, cost efficiency, and agility.
7. International Expansion & Trade Compliance
- Build supply chain frameworks for international market entry.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, labeling, shelf-life, and documentation standards.
- Work on transfer pricing, landed cost optimization, and currency risk planning.
- Establish regional vendor ecosystems to reduce dependency on exports.
Key Qualifications:
- 8–12 years of supply chain experience, including leadership roles.
- Experience managing multiple verticals and teams.
- Strong expertise in procurement, warehousing, logistics, vendor management, and import/export operations.
- Hands-on experience with complex inventory systems.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- MBA
- Experience in F&B, food retail, or perishable goods manufacturing.
