Head – Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end procurement of engineering materials including steel, electricals, insulation materials, chemicals, industrial gases, fuel, fabrication components, and project equipment among other items.
· Develop and execute sourcing strategies ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity.
· Build and manage relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, OEMs, and strategic suppliers.
· Drive commercial negotiations, contract management, and vendor performance improvement.
· Implement reverse auctions, e-procurement, supplier analytics, and digital sourcing platforms.
· Plan and optimise logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory.
· Leverage AI-powered tools and analytics for demand forecasting, spend analysis, supplier evaluation, inventory optimisation, and logistics planning.
· Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Projects, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Stores departments.
· Drive value engineering, automation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
· Mentor and develop the SCM team.
Desired Profile
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. However, candidates with any bachelor's degree and relevant experience in engineering procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, or supply chain management are equally welcome to apply.
· MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management preferred.
· 7–10 years of engineering procurement and supply chain experience.
· Expertise in strategic sourcing, logistics, vendor development, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics or equivalent), reverse auctions, and digital procurement.
· Proficiency in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini , Claude or similar for procurement optimisation.
· Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
