Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented Head of Sales to drive our pan-India and export sales operations and expand our footprint. The ideal candidate will report to the CEO and be a strategic leader with strong background in P&O sales, adept at managing dealer networks, building relationships with rehabilitation professionals and driving revenue growth for advanced assistive products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve volume and revenue objectives for Vispala’s current and future product portfolio.
- Identify market opportunities: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify new business opportunities.
- Drive product launches: Lead the launch of new P&O products and services into the market.
- Achieve targets: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets to drive business growth.
2. Relationship Management & Business Development
- Build key partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government rehabilitation centers, hospitals, orthopedic clinics, and NGOs.
- Engage with stakeholders: Build rapport with certified P&O’s, clinic owners, rehabilitation doctors, and other medical professionals to drive product adoption.
- Dealer Network Management: Develop and manage dealer/distributor relationships in India and abroad, ensuring effective distribution operations and compliance.
3. Team Management & Operations
- Lead and mentor: Recruit, manage, coach, and motivate regional sales professionals to ensure optimal performance.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor sales performance and pipeline activity.
4. Market Insights & Reporting
- Feedback loop: Provide insights on product performance and user feedback to Product Management, Customer Service, and R&D teams to improve product features.
- Reporting: Regularly report on business performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics, Biomedical Engineering or related fields. Masters degree a plus.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in P&O device sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets, building distribution networks, and launching new products.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian medical device market, particularly within rehabilitation or prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive robotics.
- Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Travel: Able to travel extensively across India to oversee operations and client engagements.
