About Perkant:
We're building India's first full-stack OPD automation platform. A patented reflective PPG medical device at it's core that closes an entire OPD consultation in under five minutes. We are not a digitisation tool that turns doctors into data entry operators. We are not a fragmented point device that gives a partial picture. We are a fundamental rethinking of how India's solo OPD clinics function and India sees billions of OPD visits every year.
We hold ISO 13485, ISO 27001, and IEC 60601-1 certifications (NABL), are integrated with ABDM (National Health Mission). Our next 18 months are about getting this into the hands of the clinicians who need it most.
The role
You will own our entire outreach function. Not a slice of it. The whole thing. This means: building the sales strategy from the ground up, defining our Ideal Customer Profile (we believe it's the solo OPD practitioner - you'll validate and refine), building the playbook, executing the first wave of sales yourself, and hiring and leading the team that scales it.
You will report directly to the CEO. You will sit on the core team. There is no middle layer. Every outcome - wins, learnings, the entire sales motion - will carry your name.
What you'll actually do
- Build our go-to-market strategy for the solo OPD clinic segment across India
- Personally close the first cohort of clinics - you don't get to delegate the early sales, you learn the customer through your own conversations
- Develop the pitch, the demo flow, the objection-handling playbook, the pricing conversation script
- Build the funnel: top-of-funnel lead generation, mid-funnel conversion mechanics, post-sale handoff to onboarding
- Hire and lead the outreach team
- Work directly with the founders on positioning, customer insights, and product feedback loops
- Represent Perkant at clinical conferences, medical associations, and partner events
- Own the numbers - pipeline, conversion, revenue, retention
Who we're looking for
Genuinely, we don't have an age bracket or an experience filter. We've written this role assuming someone in their mid-20s to early-30s is most likely to thrive in it, but we're not gatekeeping on that. What matters:
- You are obsessed with sales as a craft. You read about it, you think about it, you want to get better at it.
- You are a fast learner. You can pick up the medical, regulatory, and product context and hold your own in a conversation with a doctor.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity. There is no existing playbook for what we're doing.
- You communicate clearly in English and at least one Indian language (Hindi preferred; regional languages are a strong plus).
- You can be on the ground - visiting clinics, meeting doctors, doing the unglamorous early-stage sales work.
Bonus, not required:
- Prior experience selling to doctors, hospitals, or in MedTech
- Experience at a Seed or Series A startup
- A network in the Indian healthcare ecosystem
