UniSouk is a fast-growing e-commerce technology company building India’s next-generation unified seller platform. We integrate marketplaces (ONDC, Amazon, Shopify), payment gateways, and logistics tools into one intuitive dashboard for Indian brands and retailers. Our mission is to simplify digital commerce for thousands of SMEs, and we are now moving from launch to rapid scale.
The Role
As our Head of Sales, you won’t just be a manager—you will be an architect. With the product going live publicly, you will build our sales organization from the ground up. You’ll design the strategy, hire the first team, set the processes, and lead by example in closing strategic deals.
This is a senior, hands-on role for a leader who thrives in high-ambiguity environments, loves the thrill of the "first sale," and wants to build a revenue machine that serves the Indian D2C ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Design and execute our GTM and sales strategy for D2C brands, manufacturers, and retailers across India.
- Building the Engine: Build the sales funnel, operating cadence, and CRM processes from scratch. Standardize our pitch, battlecards, and ROI tools.
- Leadership: Hire, train, and manage our initial on-ground Sales team. Coach them through field visits and demos to ensure high-quality conversions.
- Revenue Ownership: Own monthly/quarterly targets. Build robust forecasting and reporting for the founder team.
- Strategic Growth: Personally own and close key enterprise and channel-partner deals. Build the reference accounts that will serve as our launchpad for scale.
- Collaboration: Act as the bridge between Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success. Feed back market insights to ensure our product stays ahead of the competition.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 7–10+ years in B2B sales, with 3–5+ years in SaaS/retail-tech selling to SMBs/Mid-market.
- Builder Mindset: Proven experience scaling a sales function from zero. You don’t just manage; you build, refine, and iterate.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian D2C, retail, and marketplace landscape. You understand the pain points of founders and business owners.
- Leadership: Excellent coach who loves to spend time on the field, improving the team’s conversion and consultative selling skills.
- Data-Driven: Comfortable with CRM dashboards, pipeline metrics, and unit economics. You know what "good" looks like and how to fix it when it isn't.
