About this Opportunity
The Head of Sales/Business Development will lead new business acquisition and drive strategic growth for Salcomp India by identifying and securing new customers in the EMS and electronics manufacturing sectors. This role is responsible for developing a strong sales pipeline, managing the full business development cycle from prospecting to contract closure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver competitive manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented sales leader with a proven track record in hunting new accounts, closing complex B2B deals, and building long-term customer partnerships within the electronics manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets and customer segments.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospects through outbound prospecting, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Engage with OEMs and product companies to understand their manufacturing requirements and pain points.
- Lead commercial discussions from initial contact through opportunity qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and finance teams to develop winning customer solutions.
- Prepare and present value propositions, solutions presentations, and customized quotations.
- Drive RFQ/RFP responses and support pricing strategy to improve win rates.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, CRM updates, and activity reporting.
- Monitor competitor activity, customer trends, and market opportunities in the EMS sector.
- Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.
