Role Overview
This is a high-ownership, strategic Talent Acquisition leadership role for someone who can balance business understanding, timelines, and people dynamics simultaneously.
You will lead end-to-end recruitment across mid to senior-level roles, while also shaping long-term talent strategy, market intelligence, and proactive hiring pipelines beyond traditional methods.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Talent Leadership
- Define and drive the TA strategy aligned with business growth and project timelines
- Move beyond reactive hiring to proactive talent mapping and workforce planning
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on hiring feasibility, org structure, and talent availability
2. End-to-End Hiring Ownership
- Lead full-cycle hiring across functions including operations, skilling, program management, HR, finance, tech, and field roles
- Manage complex, multi-role hiring mandates simultaneously
- Ensure quality of hire, speed, and strong candidate experience
3. Market Intelligence & Headhunting
- Drive strategic sourcing through headhunting, networking, and industry mapping
- Build deep insights into salary benchmarking, talent availability, and competitor hiring trends
- Reduce dependency on job portals by building strong external talent ecosystems
4. Stakeholder & Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with Leadership, Project Heads, and HRBPs
- Translate ambiguous requirements into structured hiring plans
- Provide data-backed hiring updates and insights
- Challenge unrealistic expectations with market-driven inputs
5. Pipeline & Network Building
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through referrals, communities, and direct outreach
- Leverage strong networking skills to attract passive talent
- Strengthen employer brand and candidate engagement strategies
6. Hiring for Scale & Execution Excellence
- Drive high-volume and time-sensitive hiring for large-scale projects
- Ensure seamless execution of bulk hiring drives, assessments, and interview processes
- Maintain quality and candidate experience during rapid scale-ups
7. Data, Process & Performance Management
- Own hiring metrics: closure ratios, drop-offs, offer conversion, and joining rates
- Build robust MIS and hiring dashboards
- Continuously identify process gaps and implement improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with strong exposure to strategic and leadership hiring
- Proven expertise in:
- Headhunting & passive talent acquisition
- Salary benchmarking & market mapping
- Non-reactive, pipeline-driven hiring
- Industry preferred Retail, Telecom & Ed-Tech
- Strong ability to balance business priorities, timelines, and people decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Demonstrated networking strength and industry connections
- Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-growth environments
