A Quality Head is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a company's quality management system to ensure products and services meet internal, external, and industry standards. Responsible for maintaining the Customer Satisfaction index and effective upkeep of the systems and processes to achieve the least rejection and quality product in 1st time. Key duties include setting quality objectives, conducting audits, actively leads the product and process audits. Lead the team of motivated professionals toward the organizational Goal, driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance, managing quality-related budgets, and training staff.
Job description:
- Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management policies, procedures, and systems. Update the Manual for both IATF and ISO 9001 from time to time as per the standard requirement.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure products and services adhere to company standards, customer requirements, industry regulations, and national/international laws.
- Quality Policy and Procedures: Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and customer requirements; collaborating with other members of management to develop new products and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
- Establish in -process product inspection standards: Effective study of the manufacturing process, to reduce risk and burden at Final inspection..
- Audits: Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve product/service reliability and performance. Support Production teams in productivity improvement by eliminating non-value-added operations.
- Customer Focus: Monitor customer feedback /complaints and needs to ensure quality standards align with customer expectations.
- Data & Reporting: Collect and analyse quality data to monitor trends, measure performance (KPIs), and produce reports for senior management. (MIS)
- Problem Resolution: Oversee and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and product defects.
- Review of Reliability and Test Lab: To review the reports and equipment in lab for effective functioning and customer requirements.
- Team Management & Development:
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff understand and adhere to quality standards.
- Review and maintain the Skill Matrix for QA section.
- Provide and develop Operators for OJT (On-the-Job Training)
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for quality assurance activities and resources.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time
