Head of Quality Assurance
We are hiring a senior Head of Quality Assurance to lead end-to-end quality strategy, governance, and execution across software, cloud, and hardware-integrated systems for a fast-growing technology organization.
This role requires strong leadership in building scalable quality engineering practices, driving automation-first QA transformation, and ensuring high product reliability across complex, distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise-wide QA strategy aligned with business and product goals
- Lead quality engineering initiatives across software, cloud, and hardware-integrated platforms
- Establish and mature test automation frameworks and CI/CD-integrated quality pipelines
- Drive quality metrics such as defect leakage, test coverage, MTTR, and release stability
- Own end-to-end quality governance including process compliance, audits, and standards adherence (ISO, GxP where applicable)
- Lead performance testing, regression strategy, and risk-based testing approaches
- Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and architecture teams for shift-left quality implementation
- Build and mentor high-performing QA teams and establish a Quality Center of Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven quality practices
Required Experience
- 15–20 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering
- Strong leadership experience managing QA teams at enterprise or product organization level
- Hands-on exposure to automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent)
- Experience in testing cloud-based applications (AWS / Azure / microservices architecture)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Exposure to hardware-integrated systems, embedded testing, or industrial systems is preferred
- Experience in defining QA strategy for large-scale, distributed systems
Preferred Skills
- AI/ML system validation or data-driven testing exposure
- Experience with performance and security testing tools
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
- Knowledge of ISO standards, compliance frameworks, and audit processes
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
