We’re Hiring | Quality Head – Transformer Manufacturing

Experience: 8–12+ Years (Mandatory – Transformer Industry)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Head with strong hands-on exposure in transformer/Servo Voltage Stabilizers manufacturing, who can lead end-to-end Quality Assurance & Quality Control functions across incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, testing, and final dispatch—ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
This role requires a core transformer/ Servo Voltage Stabilizers industry professional with deep knowledge of fabrication, welding, testing, audits, and customer inspections.
Key Responsibilities
1) Overall responsibility for Quality Assurance & Quality Control of power and distribution transformers
2) Establish, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015)
3) Ensure compliance with process quality standards, statutory norms, and customer specifications
4) Incoming, in-process, and final inspection of transformer components and finished transformers
5) Supervise quality aspects of tank fabrication, welding, surface treatment, and painting
6) Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), stage-wise inspections, and final quality clearance
7) Handling customer complaints, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of CAPA
8) Lead and manage internal, external, customer, and third-party audits
9) Vendor quality management, supplier audits, and improvement of Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA)
10) Monitor quality KPIs including COPQ, rework, rejection trends, and defect analysis
11) Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, defect reduction, process improvement)
12) Coordinate closely with Production, PPC, Design, Engineering, and Testing departments
13) Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team (Engineers & Inspectors)
Qualifications & Certifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
- Certified Lead Auditor – ISO 9001:2015 (Preferred)
- Exposure to testing, customer inspections, and documentation is essential
Experience Requirement
- 8–12+ years of experience strictly in the Transformer/ Servo Voltage Stabilizers Manufacturing Industry
- Strong hands-on exposure to QA/QC systems, audits, testing, and customer quality requirements
- Experience in handling customer audits and quality sign-offs is mandatory
