Role Description The Head of Production is a full-time, on-site role based in Raipur, responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations at Metal Morphosis Private Limited. This role includes planning and scheduling production, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, and maintaining consistent output that meets quality, safety, and compliance standards. The Head of Production will lead and mentor production teams, coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, and supply chain functions, and monitor daily performance indicators to drive efficiency and cost control. Typical responsibilities include managing production budgets, resolving operational issues, implementing process improvements, and supporting the adoption of sustainable and lean manufacturing practices. The role also requires preparing regular reports for senior leadership and contributing to strategic decisions related to capacity, technology, and long-term operational planning.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to oversee daily operations and ensure timely delivery of production targets.
- Candidates should possess robust Operations Management and Budgeting skills to optimize costs, manage resources effectively, and support financial stewardship of the plant.
- Candidates should possess proven Team Management capabilities to lead diverse production teams, build a safety-oriented culture, and drive performance and engagement.
- Relevant experience in steel or heavy manufacturing, with a solid understanding of plant machinery, safety standards, and quality systems. Knowledge in the scrap shredding units .
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; a postgraduate qualification in operations or management is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced production environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or other efficiency-focused frameworks is highly beneficial.
