Role Description The Head of Production will oversee end-to-end production activities for wire harness manufacturing at the Delhi facility in a full-time, on-site capacity. Responsibilities include planning and managing production schedules, optimizing workflows, and ensuring output meets quality, safety, and delivery targets. The role involves supervising production teams, coordinating with operations, maintenance, and quality departments, and driving process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. The Head of Production will monitor resource utilization, manage budgets related to production, and prepare performance reports for leadership. This role also includes establishing clear performance expectations, mentoring team members, and supporting implementation of best practices and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Production Planning and Production Management skills to oversee daily manufacturing activities and meet delivery timelines.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management and Budgeting skills to optimize resource allocation, control costs, and support strategic production decisions.
- Candidates should possess Team Management skills to lead, develop, and motivate diverse production teams and ensure effective communication on the shop floor.
- Experience in automotive or wire harness manufacturing, with knowledge of quality standards and safety regulations, is highly beneficial.
- Relevant technical or engineering degree or diploma, along with several years of experience in senior production roles, is preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with ERP or production management software are advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
