The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Head of Product Growth who has already built and scaled growth systems in consumer product environments.
This is not a strategy-only role. You will do the work initially — and then build a team around you.
You should be someone who looks at acquisition channels, funnels, cohorts, and behavioural loops and immediately sees systems that can be built, tested, and optimised.
This role is central to the product. You will work closely and directly with the CEO to design and optimise the compounding growth engine behind Speed Radio.

What You Will Own
1. Organic Growth Engine
- Design and optimise referral and invite loops
- Build sharing mechanics across WhatsApp, Instagram, X and other channels
- Develop SEO doorway and content distribution strategies
- Create “claim your profile” and creator-led growth flows
- Build and optimise viral loops
2. Discovery & Feed Performance
- Work closely with product and data science teams to improve:
- First session experience
- Time to first follow
- Retention curves
- Cohort stickiness
- Partner on recommendation system feedback loops
3. Activation & Lifecycle
- Improve onboarding flows
- Design push notification strategy
- Build email and re-engagement systems
- Strengthen habit formation mechanics
4. Growth Analytics
- Own growth dashboards and KPI tracking
- Define the north star metric and supporting metrics with the CEO
- Run structured experiments with clear hypotheses
- Maintain disciplined test-and-iterate cycles
5. Distribution Strategy
- Identify scalable growth channels
- Build repeatable acquisition playbooks
- Design early-stage partnerships that drive distribution
What Success Looks Like
Within 6 months:
- Clear improvement in activation and retention metrics
- Referral loop functioning and measurable
- Growth roadmap aligned with product milestones
Within 12 months:
- Organic engine driving a meaningful share of new installs
- Discovery improvements measurably increasing retention
- Repeatable acquisition playbooks ready to scale
Requirements
- 5–8 years experience in consumer product growth
- Proven track record improving activation and retention
- Experience working closely with product and data teams
- Strong analytical capability
- Comfortable operating in early-stage ambiguity
- Bias toward building over talking
Nice to Have
- Experience with feed-based or algorithmic products
- Experience in social, media, or creator platforms
- Exposure to referral-driven growth
