HEAD OF PODCAST
Intro
This is not about executing someone else's vision - this is about building the vision. You'll own the entire podcast operation, drive strategy, build a high-performing team, and turn Something Bigger into a top global Podcast. We're Something Bigger, and we're looking for a Head of Podcast who'll have full autonomy to build, break, and rebuild until we're creating work that genuinely changes lives. Experience: 3-5 years managing podcasts.
Who you are
• 3-5 years managing podcast – You've run production end-to-end, not just worked on pieces of it
• You've built or scaled an audience – Show us the numbers. We want growth, not just maintenance.
• You've managed teams –You know how to hire, coach, and get the best from people.
• Data-driven to your core – You live in analytics. AVD, retention, CTR are second nature. You A/B test everything.
• Systems thinker – You build processes, SOPs, and workflows. You scale through structure, not hustle.
• Excellent communicator – Clear written and verbal English. You can lead meetings, brief teams, present strategy, and communicate well with all stakeholders (Guests, sponsors, customers…).
• High energy – You bring infectious enthusiasm to your work. You energize teams, maintain momentum during challenges, and create a culture of possibility, not problems.
• Bonus: You know the creator economy and media industry – YouTube optimisation, LinkedIn algorithms, Instagram trends. And you understand different types of media.
Responsibilities
Strategy
Define podcast vision, content formats, episode structures, and guest selection criteria. Lead weekly prep sessions with Rodrigo for upcoming interviews - research angles and strategic direction.
Operations
Own end-to-end production workflow from guest outreach to publishing across all platforms and ensure deadlines are met, quality is maintained. Build SOPs and systems to scale.
Team Management
Manage 7-10 team members and hire key roles as the team grows. Lead weekly planning meetings and drive a high-performing team culture.
Growth & Distribution
Build and manage a content calendar across all platforms. Develop a community engagement strategy and build a loyal audience beyond content. Build strategies to increase distribution.
Monetisation
Identify and implement revenue opportunities: sponsorships, brand partnerships, premium content, and community offerings. Build sustainable revenue streams.
Experimentation & Optimisation
Track key metrics (AVD, retention, CTR, engagement). Run A/B tests on thumbnails, titles, formats, and structures. Run monthly experiments across the entire flow. Weekly performance reporting and iteration based on data.
What does success look like
• Month 1-2: Studio setup, key hires
• Month 3-4: Production works smoothly, team aligned
• Month 5-6: Growth implemented, monetisation strategy implemented
