Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead our trip design and delivery engine.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands inbound travel deeply — someone who can own supplier relationships, lead a high-performing operations team, guide itinerary planning and costing, and ensure every trip is executed with precision.
You will be a key pillar in building IndiHorizons into one of the most trusted DMC brands in South Asia.
Key Responsibilities
1) Supplier Relationships
- Build and manage strong relationships with hotels, transporters, guides, and destination partners across India & South Asia
- Negotiate competitive rates, commercial terms, and preferred partnerships
- Continuously strengthen IndiHorizons’ supplier network for quality, reliability, and exclusivity
2) Costing & Itinerary
- Lead the team on itinerary design, costing, and proposal development strategy
- Ensure pricing is competitive, accurate, and aligned with margin goals
- Review high-value / complex proposals to maintain quality and commercial discipline
3) Product Development & Destination Intelligence
- Identify new destinations, experiences, and hospitality products to keep offerings fresh and differentiated
- Build deep destination intelligence on routing, seasonality, and evolving market trends
- Translate market insights into stronger products and more compelling itineraries
4) Booking Management
- Oversee end-to-end confirmations across hotels, transport, experiences, and special arrangements
- Ensure operational accuracy across bookings, documentation, and vendor coordination
- Drive timely execution while maintaining high service standards
5) On-Ground Delivery & Escalation Management
- Oversee seamless trip execution and exceptional guest experience delivery
- Act as the senior point of escalation for operational issues and service recovery
- Build strong contingency planning and troubleshooting capability across trips
6) Process & Systems
- Establish scalable SOPs, workflows, and operational best practices across teams
- Strengthen internal systems for rates, supplier contracts, and itinerary content management
- Drive operational efficiency through technology adoption, automation, and reporting
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in inbound travel / DMC operations
- Strong network across hotels, transporters, destination suppliers, and on-ground partners
- Deep understanding of India travel logistics and product landscape
- Proven experience leading operations teams
- Strong commercial sense on pricing, margins, and negotiations
- Calm under pressure and excellent at solving operational problems quickly
- High ownership mindset — sees business like an operator, not an employee
- Strong written and spoken English
