Head of Marketing Communication

Overall Purpose of the Role
The Head – Marketing Communication will be responsible for building, strengthening, and driving the
institute’s integrated marketing and communication strategy across digital and offline channels. The role
will lead brand visibility, admissions marketing, digital campaigns, stakeholder communication, and
institutional positioning to enhance reputation, engagement, and student acquisition outcomes.
This is a leadership role requiring a strong balance of brand strategy, digital marketing, campaign
execution, data-driven decision making, and team leadership. The individual will work closely with
leadership, admissions, academics, corporate relations, alumni, HR, and external partners to ensure
consistent brand communication and measurable marketing impact.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end marketing communication function for the institute,
ensuring alignment with admissions goals, academic priorities, and long-term brand positioning.
Specifically, the Key Result Areas include:
1) Marketing & Brand Strategy
● Develop and drive the institute’s integrated marketing and communication strategy aligned with
institutional goals.
● Define brand narrative, messaging framework, and communication tone across all touchpoints.
● Ensure consistent brand representation across website, social media, campaigns, events, PR,
presentations, and internal communication.
● Strengthen brand positioning among students, parents, recruiters, faculty, alumni, and industry
stakeholders.
2) Admissions Marketing & Lead Generation
● Drive student acquisition strategy across organic and paid channels.
● Lead performance marketing initiatives across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and other relevant
platforms.
● Work closely with admissions teams to improve lead funnel performance from enquiry to
application and conversion.
● Track and optimize lead quality, CPL, CAC, conversion rates, and channel ROI.
● Support promotion of new programs, executive education, certifications, events, and
institutional initiatives.
3) Digital Marketing & Online Presence
● Own the institute’s digital ecosystem including website, SEO, SEM, landing pages, email
campaigns, and social media presence.
● Ensure website content relevance, user experience alignment, and SEO health.
● Lead digital content strategy covering blogs, faculty thought leadership, student stories,
placement achievements, rankings, and campus culture.
● Oversee paid campaigns, retargeting, and audience segmentation for improved performance.
4) Content, Communication & PR
● Lead internal and external communication for institutional announcements, campaign launches,
brochures, presentations, newsletters, and leadership messaging.
● Oversee PR initiatives, media outreach, rankings communication, and external visibility
opportunities.
● Act as the brand custodian for all written, visual, and campaign communication.
● Ensure strong storytelling across admissions, placements, campus life, academic excellence, and
employer branding.
5) Campaign Planning & Execution
● Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns for admissions cycles, events, rankings, employer
branding, and reputation building.
● Collaborate with internal departments for campaign inputs and timely execution.
● Ensure high-quality output across design, video, content, and digital assets.
● Monitor campaign performance and continuously improve effectiveness through data insights.
6) Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
● Build, mentor, and manage the marketing communication team across digital, content, design,
and performance functions.
● Define KRAs, workflows, ownership, and review mechanisms for the team.
● Manage agencies, freelancers, media partners, and external vendors.
● Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth
execution.
7) Data Analysis & Reporting
● Establish dashboards and regular reporting mechanisms for campaign ROI, lead metrics, website
traffic, social media performance, and brand engagement.
● Use insights and analytics to optimize budgets, campaigns, and communication strategies.
● Present regular performance reviews and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Experience
8–12 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Brand Communication, Digital Marketing, or
MarComm leadership roles, preferably in Education / EdTech / Services sector. Strong experience in
leading teams, managing integrated campaigns, and driving measurable admissions or business growth
outcomes is essential.

Educational Qualification
Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital Marketing, or relevant
field.
