Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for the position of Head of Marketing. Based in Bengaluru East, the Head of Marketing will lead, manage, and execute marketing strategies to drive brand growth and market expansion. Responsibilities include developing market plans, overseeing marketing campaigns, conducting market research, managing sales-oriented initiatives, and fostering strong public relations efforts to uphold the company’s leadership in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term marketing strategies for the Tractor Division.
- Drive market penetration and business growth across target regions.
- Identify emerging market trends, customer expectations, and competitor strategies.
- Support business expansion initiatives and new market development.
- Align marketing activities with overall sales and business objectives.
2. Brand Management
- Strengthen VST Tractor brand positioning across domestic and international markets.
- Ensure consistent brand communication across all channels.
- Develop and implement ATL, BTL, digital, and rural marketing campaigns.
- Improve brand visibility through impactful advertising and promotional activities.
- Lead corporate communication initiatives related to tractor business.
3. Product Marketing & Product Launches
- Develop marketing strategies for compact tractors and higher HP tractor range.
- Lead new product launches and market introduction activities.
- Coordinate with Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Service teams.
- Prepare product brochures, technical literature, presentations, and campaign materials.
4. Dealer & Channel Marketing
- Strengthen dealer marketing initiatives and retail visibility programs.
- Develop dealer engagement and dealership branding standards.
- Support dealer network expansion through local marketing initiatives.
- Plan retail activation campaigns to improve enquiry generation and retail conversion.
- Coordinate regional promotional activities and dealer events.
5. Rural & Field BTL Activities
- Developing SOP’s for effective brand execution on ground
- Participate in agriculture expos, tractor exhibitions, and trade fairs.
- Improve farmer engagement and customer loyalty programs.
- Conduct seasonal marketing campaigns aligned with agricultural cycles.
6. Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
- Lead digital marketing initiatives for tractor business.
- Manage website promotions, social media campaigns, digital advertisements, and online branding.
- Improve digital lead generation and enquiry conversion mechanisms.
- Monitor CRM activities and customer engagement platforms.
- Drive online campaigns for farmer awareness and product education.
7. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking.
- Analyze market share, pricing trends, and competitor product positioning.
- Monitor regional demand trends and formulate season strategies.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on market intelligence.
8. Budgeting & Marketing Effectiveness
- Prepare annual marketing budgets for Marketing OPEX.
- Monitor utilization and effectiveness of marketing spend.
- Track campaign ROI and retail impact.
- Present periodic MIS and marketing performance reports to management.
9. Cross Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with:

- R&D
- Finance
- Dealer Development Teams
- Ensure alignment between product availability, market demand, and promotional activities.
10. Team Management
- Lead and mentor regional marketing teams.
- Manage external agencies, branding partners, and event vendors.
- Build a performance-driven marketing culture.
- Develop team capabilities and succession planning.
11. PR & Media Relations
- Develop and execute Public Relations (PR) strategies to strengthen the brand image of the Corporate.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies, automotive journalists, agriculture publications, influencers, and industry bodies.
- Manage press releases, media briefings, product launch communications, and corporate announcements.
- Coordinate media coverage for tractor launches, exhibitions, dealer meets, CSR activities, and milestone achievements.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, agricultural events, and media interactions.
- Handle crisis communication and ensure timely response to media-related matters.
- Drive brand visibility through print media, digital media, television, and regional communication channels.
- Monitor media coverage, public perception, and competitor PR activities.
- Collaborate with digital marketing and branding teams to ensure consistent communication strategy across all platforms.
- Develop farmer-centric and dealer-centric communication campaigns to improve brand trust and market presence.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong exposure to tractor market and rural ecosystem.
- Experience in handling dealer-driven business models.
- Understanding of farmer buying behavior and agri-market trends.
- Exposure to compact tractor segment preferred.
- Experience in domestic and export market marketing preferred.
