Rane Madras Limited, Brake Components Division, established in the year 1964. Having 4 plants spreaded across 3 different states in India catering friction products to Domestic and International OEMs thru Tier1 suppliers. BCD has Independent AM business at both Domestic and export markets.
BCD has in-house R&D facility certified by DSIR to design and develop friction products (Disc pad, Brake lining & Blocks, Clutch facing and sintered pads / buttons) suitable for two-wheeler, PV, UV, M& H CV and Rail segment. BCD has test facility - Dynamometer (To test NVH, performance / wear and other simulation test as per international standards) & vehicle level test as per customer test schedule.
BCD has technical collaboration with NISSHINBO (Japan), SAERON Automotive Corporation (Korea) to leverage international customer business development and Technology transfer.

Role Description
The Head of Manufacturing, Operation Head, or Plant Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position involves overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing operations, production planning, and ensuring compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP). Responsibilities include driving operational efficiency, implementing strategies to optimize production, and ensuring excellence in operations management. The selected candidate will lead teams, manage resources, and oversee the plant's performance to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Production Planning and Manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Operational Excellence and Operations Management
- Thorough understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities
- Experience in managing large-scale manufacturing units is highly desirable
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality in manufacturing processes
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
