The Head (Industry Relations & Career Services) at TDV will lead and drive all placement, internship, and industry engagement initiatives. This role is pivotal in building strong industry relationships, ensuring successful career outcomes for students, and expanding TDV’s industry network across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Placement Strategy: Design and execute a robust placement strategy, ensuring strong career outcomes for graduating students, leading a 2-3 member placement team.
2. Drive Recruitment & Industry Engagement: Own and achieve targets for campus placements, internships, and industry project introductions, while supporting team deliverables as needed.
3. Build & Strengthen Industry Partnerships: Develop new relationships with industry partners and manage existing ones to drive repeat engagements across placements, internships, and live projects.
4. Strategic Industry Initiatives: Conceptualize and execute engagements such as flagship CAN conclave, guest lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and competitions to deepen industry connect.
5. Student Career Development: Oversee career services including counselling, portfolio development, interview preparation, and overall student readiness for internships and placements.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Faculty, Administration and Outreach teams and Alumni to align placement goals with broader institutional objectives.
Key Performance Indicators
· Average, Median & Highest CTC among Graduating Cohort
· Average, Median & Highest Stipend across Internships Cohort
· Tier-I Placement and Internships Percentage
· Count of Introductions to Industry Partners
Prerequisites
· Postgraduate Degree in Design or a related field
· Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
· Good understanding of design industry landscape and hiring trends.
