The Design Village (TDV), in collaboration with O.P. Jindal Global University, offers UGC-approved Bachelor of Design (B Des) and Master of Design (M Des) degree programs. Located in the Industrial District of Noida, TDV’s Forbes' award-winning campus fosters an innovative and collaborative learning environment. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida for the position of Head of Industry Relations and Career Services. The individual in this role will oversee the cultivation and management of relationships with industry stakeholders, leading efforts to develop strategic partnerships for internships, placements, and collaborative projects. Responsibilities include guiding students on career pathways, organizing workshops and industry interaction sessions, maintaining a database of alumni networks, and ensuring smooth collaboration with industry partners to create avenues for student career success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Placement Strategy: Design and execute a robust placement strategy, ensuring strong career outcomes for graduating students, leading a 2-3 member placement team.
- Drive Recruitment & Industry Engagement: Own and achieve targets for campus placements, internships, and industry project introductions, while supporting team deliverables as needed.
- Build & Strengthen Industry Partnerships: Develop new relationships with industry partners and manage existing ones to drive repeat engagements across placements, internships, and live projects.
- Strategic Industry Initiatives: Conceptualize and execute engagements such as flagship CAN conclave, guest lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and competitions to deepen industry connect.
- Student Career Development: Oversee career services including counselling, portfolio development, interview preparation, and overall student readiness for internships and placements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Faculty, Administration and Outreach teams and Alumni to align placement goals with broader institutional objectives.

- Tier-I Placement and Internships Percentage
- Count of Introductions to Industry Partners
Prerequisites
- Postgraduate Degree in Design or a related field
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good understanding of design industry landscape and hiring trends
