Our client looking for an experienced and strategic HR Head to lead the overall Human Resources function for a fast-growing automotive organization. The role will be responsible for driving people strategy, organization development, talent management, employee engagement, performance culture, and HR operations across manufacturing plants, corporate offices, and sales teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the automotive or manufacturing sector and experience managing large, diverse workforces including plant operations, blue-collar workforce, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with business goals
- Partner with leadership teams on organizational planning and workforce strategy
- Build scalable HR processes to support business growth and operational excellence
- Drive a high-performance and people-centric culture across the organization
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead hiring strategy across manufacturing, engineering, sales, supply chain, and corporate functions
- Ensure timely hiring for plant and business operations
- Build strong employer branding initiatives within the automotive ecosystem
- Drive succession planning and leadership hiring initiatives
3. Performance Management & Organizational Development
- Design and manage performance appraisal systems and KPI frameworks
- Drive capability building, leadership development, and career progression plans
- Implement competency mapping and organizational development initiatives
- Support change management and transformation projects
4. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Manage employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Handle grievance management and disciplinary processes
- Lead industrial relations activities including union interactions where applicable
- Ensure harmonious plant and workforce relations
5. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
- Oversee compensation benchmarking, payroll governance, incentives, and benefits structures
- Ensure HR compliance across labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies
- Manage HRMS systems, attendance, leave, and employee records
- Drive HR process automation and operational efficiency
6. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs across technical and functional teams
- Build learning frameworks for plant workforce, middle management, and leadership teams
- Drive culture-building and employee development programs
7. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, statutory requirements, and workplace safety standards
- Maintain compliance related to factories, contract labor, POSH, and employee welfare regulations
- Support audits and governance frameworks
Key Requirements
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field
- 12–18+ years of HR experience with significant exposure to the automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sector
- Strong understanding of plant HR, IR, labor laws, and workforce management
- Proven experience managing both blue-collar and white-collar workforce
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Experience driving organizational transformation and HR digitization initiatives preferred
