Designation: HOD (HR & Admin) || Forging / Automotive components & sheet metal mfg.
Working Location: Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana
Client Overview: Our client operates in the Automotive forging/machining sector. The plant facility includes forging, machining, finishing and inspection units.
Role Summary: To build a stable, skilled, compliant, and motivated workforce by managing HR operations, industrial relations, statutory compliance, and people development, aligned with organisational growth and shop-floor realities.

👤 Criteria: Manesar/Haryana resident | M & 45 years or younger
Reporting To: CEO
Industry: Forging OR Automotive components & sheet metal manufacturing sectors
Experience: Minimum 15 to 20 years in HR & IR in forging companies OR Automotive components & sheet metal manufacturing sectors. An individual must have hands-on experience in plant HR, labour laws, and IR.
Qualifications: MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR / Personnel Management. Law background – added advantage

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manpower Planning & Recruitment
- Prepare manpower planning in coordination with department heads
- Lead recruitment of executives, supervisors, operators, and contract labour
- Manage onboarding, induction, and confirmation processes
- Coordinate with staffing agencies and contractors
2. Industrial Relations (IR) & Discipline
- Maintain healthy industrial relations with workmen
- Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, inquiries, and settlements
- Ensure peaceful plant operations with minimum attrition and absenteeism
- Liaison with the labour department and local authorities
3. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Factories Act, Labour Laws, EPF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Shops & Establishments, etc.
- Manage inspections, audits, and statutory returns
- Maintain records related to contract labour, wage registers, and attendance
4. Performance Management & Compensation
- Support and manage KRA / KPI-based performance appraisal systems
- Support salary structuring, increments, incentives, and promotions
- Benchmark compensation with industry practices
- Ensure timely payroll processing in coordination with accounts
5. Training & Skill Development
- Identify training needs for the shop-floor, supervisors, and executives
- Organise technical, safety, quality, and behavioural training
- Support multi-skilling and competency development
- Coordinate with external trainers and institutes
6. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Drive employee engagement activities and communication
- Manage canteen, medical, and welfare facilities
- Promote a safe, disciplined, and positive work culture
- Address employee satisfaction and retention
7. HR Policies & Systems
- Draft, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and manuals
- Implement attendance, leave, shift, and overtime systems
- Support HR digitalisation / ERP / HRMS
8. Administration & Security
- Oversee administration, housekeeping, security, and facility management
- Ensure compliance with safety, discipline, and plant rules
- Coordinate statutory safety committees and welfare committees
9. Leadership & Advisory Role
- Act as a people advisor to management and department heads
- Support organisational change and growth initiatives
- Develop second-line HR leadership
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in plant HR, labour laws, and IR
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws & statutory compliance
- Excellent people handling and conflict resolution skills
- Practical approach to shop-floor HR challenges
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Integrity, maturity, and leadership
