▸ Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team on all people-related matters including workforce planning, succession, and culture.
▸ Build and manage high-performing HR teams across HO and Plant, with clear KPIs and accountability frameworks.
▸ Drive manpower planning, headcount budgeting, and workforce optimisation to ensure cost-effective people deployment.
2. HR Transformation & Digital Initiatives
▸ Lead enterprise-wide HR transformation projects — reengineering processes, eliminating redundancies, and building scalable people systems.
▸ Own the HRMS/ERP implementation lifecycle — from vendor selection, configuration, and go-live to adoption and change management.
▸ Champion automation of HR workflows: payroll, attendance, leave, onboarding, and compliance reporting.
▸ Build HR analytics and MIS capabilities; present data-driven insights to leadership for strategic decisions.
▸ Identify and integrate emerging HR technologies (AI-led tools, pulse surveys, digital learning platforms) into the HR operating model.
3. Organisational Development & Change Management
▸ Lead and manage large-scale organisational change initiatives — restructuring, culture transformation, M&A integration, or capability-building programs.
▸ Design and execute OD interventions including competency frameworks, leadership development pipelines, and succession planning.
▸ Partner with business heads to diagnose organisational health and design bespoke interventions for team effectiveness.
▸ Establish a learning ecosystem — drive L&D strategy, identify skill gaps, and build future-ready capabilities across levels.
4. Talent Acquisition & Management
▸ Define and lead talent acquisition strategy across functions and levels; mentor and guide the recruitment team.
▸ Build employer branding initiatives to position the organisation as an employer of choice.
▸ Design structured onboarding programs that accelerate productivity and cultural assimilation.
▸ Oversee performance management systems (PMS/OKRs) — goal setting, mid-year reviews, calibrations, and rewards linkage.
5. Employee Relations, Engagement & Compliance
▸ Cultivate a positive, high-trust work environment through robust employee engagement frameworks.
▸ Handle complex employee relations matters, grievance redressal, and disciplinary processes with sensitivity and fairness.
▸ Ensure full statutory compliance with applicable labour laws, factories act, POSH, ESI, PF, and other regulatory requirements.
▸ Liaise with legal and compliance teams on labour matters; represent the organisation in legal proceedings when required.
6. Plant HR & Industrial Relations
▸ Oversee plant HR operations including contract labour management, union negotiations, and IR strategy.
▸ Ensure smooth plant HR operations — attendance, shift management, contract compliance, and shop-floor engagement.
▸ Proactively manage IR climate; anticipate and resolve potential disputes before escalation.
▸ Collaborate with Plant Head and Operations teams to ensure HR support aligned with production requirements.
