Job Title: Head – HR & IR

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Head – HR & IR to lead the Human Resources function for our manufacturing unit. The role will be responsible for factory HR operations, industrial relations, manpower planning, contract labour management, and statutory compliance, ensuring smooth workforce management and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Relations (IR)
- Maintain healthy industrial relations within the factory environment.
- Handle worker grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Manage union interactions, negotiations, and labour-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with factory standing orders and labour regulations.
2. Manpower Planning & Manning
- Plan and manage manpower requirements for factory operations.
- Ensure proper deployment and utilization of workforce across departments and shifts.
- Coordinate with department heads for workforce planning and productivity improvement.
3. Contract Labour Management
- Manage contract labour workforce and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act 1970.
- Monitor contractor documentation, attendance, wage payments, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure contractors follow safety and labour compliance norms.
4. HR Operations
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, attendance, and exit processes for factory staff and workers.
- Implement HR policies and ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations.
5. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws including:
- Factories Act 1948
- Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952
- Employees' State Insurance Act 1948
- Minimum Wages Act 1948
- Payment of Wages Act 1936
- Maintain statutory records, registers, and coordinate with government authorities during inspections.
6. Payroll & Attendance Management
- Supervise attendance, overtime, shift scheduling, and payroll inputs for workers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with wage regulations and statutory deductions.
7. Employee Engagement & Development
- Implement initiatives for employee engagement, training, and performance management.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and discipline in the factory.
Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources / Personnel Management.
- 12–15 years of experience in Factory HR, IR, and Compliance.
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment industry preferred.
