Role Overview
We are hiring a Head of Growth and Virality to build and scale organic, referral, and product-led growth engines. This role focuses on designing and executing growth strategies that drive customer acquisition without relying on paid marketing. You will work closely with the founders, product, Marketing, and engineering teams to build scalable growth systems that compound over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and scale referral programs and invite systems
- Build viral loops and sustainable growth flywheels
- Drive organic growth through community and distribution channels such as Nextdoor, Reddit, and local groups
- Develop and execute word-of-mouth and sharing strategies
- Work with product and engineering to embed growth mechanisms such as sharing, social proof, and referrals into the product experience
- Run rapid experiments to identify and scale high-impact growth opportunities
- Turn customers into active promoters of the platform
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in growth, virality, or product-led growth
- Proven track record of building or scaling referral systems or viral growth loops
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, network effects, and growth mechanics
- Experience working on consumer products or marketplaces is preferred
- Highly analytical with a strong experimentation mindset
- Ability to execute quickly in a fast-paced startup environment
Success Metrics (First 6 Months)
- Launch and scale a few high-performing viral/referral growth engines
- Achieve 20 to 40 percent of new users through organic and referral channels
- Improve retention and repeat usage
- Reduce dependency on paid acquisition
