We’re hiring: Head of Government Relations, City Engagement & Strategic Partnerships — India

MTSAi is building an AI-enabled platform for Reward-Based Congestion Pricing — a more equitable and politically sustainable approach to congestion management for Indian cities.
Our core idea is simple:
A car carrying three people is not three cars.
We are looking for a senior public-sector engagement leader to help build MTSAi’s India government-relations function from the ground up.
This is not a conventional SaaS sales role.
We need someone who understands Indian government institutions, infrastructure, smart cities, transport, tolling, ITS, GovTech, or public-sector consulting — and who knows how trust is built with central, state, and city-level stakeholders.
The right candidate will help us:
- Build relationships with government, transport, smart-city, traffic, infrastructure, and policy stakeholders
- Prioritise target cities and states
- Develop strategic partnerships
- Create disciplined public-sector pipeline processes
- Support concept notes and pilot pathways
- Maintain strong CRM and documentation discipline
- Ensure MTSAi communicates accurately and responsibly at every stage
We are especially interested in candidates with:
- 12–18 years of relevant experience
- At least 8 years working directly in or with Indian government institutions
- Experience in infrastructure, smart cities, urban mobility, ITS, tolling, GovTech, or public-sector consulting
- Credibility with senior officials
- Strong understanding of government procurement cycles
- Excellent English and Hindi; regional language exposure helpful
MTSAi is currently in pre-deployment build mode. We have no live city deployments, no signed government contracts, and no government certifications or approvals. We are looking for a builder who can help create the conditions for our first serious pilot pathway.
Compensation: ₹50–65 LPA CTC, with possible performance incentives and long-term incentive consideration for exceptional candidates.
