Experience: 15–20 years (minimum 5 years in AI-led transformation or solution leadership)
The Senior Functional Architecture Leader shapes the business and process design vision for Accenture’s next-generation product-led operations platform.
This leader serves as the bridge between business transformation and platform capability, ensuring that every deployment translates into measurable outcomes — efficiency, control, compliance, and scalability.
The role requires deep Finance & Accounting (F&A), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R) process expertise, combined with the ability to reimagine these processes using AI, analytics, and digital orchestration.
Primary Responsibilities (80%)
1. Strategic Functional Leadership
- Define the business process architecture and operating blueprints for F&A, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions within the Saas platform
- Lead the development of functional playbooks and transformation frameworks, ensuring alignment between process outcomes and platform capabilities.
- Shape the “To-Be” vision for digital operations — embedding AI, analytics, and automation as integral levers of transformation.
- Partner with Product and Platform Engineering teams to translate functional requirements into feature definitions and configuration logic.
- Represent the functional voice in product roadmap discussions and design councils.
2. Process Transformation & Value Realization
- Reimagine core processes such as P2P, O2C, and R2R through automation, predictive analytics, and AI reasoning.
- Define measurable value realization models — cost savings, productivity improvement, cycle time reduction, compliance uplift.
- Lead client advisory sessions to benchmark current operations against SaaS platform capabilities.
- Establish functional KPIs and success metrics for each process tower and ensure alignment with platform design.
3. Governance and Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the global network of Functional Architects, ensuring consistency in process design and delivery quality across engagements.
- Govern the creation of Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration templates, and use-case libraries.
- Review and sign off on solution blueprints, ensuring every client deployment aligns with SaaS platform’s standard process taxonomy and control framework.
- Ensure compliance with domain-specific regulations — e.g., SOX, IFRS, and tax requirements — as applicable within process flows.
4. Capability Building & Enablement
- Develop and mentor a global community of Functional Architects with strong process and domain expertise.
- Drive learning pathways and certification programs to build AI-enabled process fluency within the F&A community.
- Build industry-specific transformation frameworks (e.g., CPG, Pharma, BFSI) leveraging Saas platform’s modular components.
- Promote thought leadership — whitepapers, case studies, and client showcases demonstrating business impact from AI-enabled processes.
5. Client Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage directly with client CFOs, Finance Transformation Heads, and Global Process Owners to shape strategic roadmaps.
- Present platform’s differentiated process and data-driven value proposition to executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Delivery teams to ensure value realization continues beyond deployment.
- Build partnerships with ecosystem vendors (ERP, analytics, AI platforms) to ensure seamless end-to-end process orchestration.
Secondary Responsibilities (20%)
- Support pre-sales pursuits and deal shaping for large transformation programs.
- Provide strategic input to product marketing and go-to-market teams on positioning platform capabilities.
- Lead internal governance reviews, ensuring alignment of all functional assets with latest product releases.
