Over the last 6 years, we have made a strong presence in e-commerce backed by efficient marketing and our in-house manufacturing capabilities. Our flagship product GoPadFree Reusable Leakproof Period Panty is a favourite across marketplaces. To continue our growth, we are currently looking for a skilled and experienced professionals to join our dynamic team.
Role Description
As Head of Finance & Legal Compliance, you will be the single internal owner of the finance, statutory compliance and legal function at Healthfab. You will manage the the internal Finance team, own all external professional relationships (Banking, CA firm, CS firm, legal counsel etc.) and serve as the connective tissue between day-to-day operations and investor-grade financial rigour. This is a high-ownership role built for someone who runs toward complexity in a fast-growing consumer brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Reporting
• Own monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow in a format ready for management and investors
• Drive annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting and rolling cash flow visibility
• Track and report on unit economics, CAC, LTV, contribution margin, payback period etc. alongside business teams
• Manage working capital cycles, vendor payment terms and banking relationships
• Prepare financial packs for board meetings, investor updates, audits, fundraising etc.
Statutory & Tax Compliance
• Own the full compliance calendar across GST, TDS, advance tax, professional tax and PF/ESI
• Manage GST reconciliations across D2C and marketplace channels (Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart Myntra etc. settlements)
• Oversee annual ROC filings (AOC-4, MGT-7 etc.), income tax returns and transfer pricing where applicable
• Coordinate with the practicing CA firm for statutory audits and tax assessments
• Ensure all compliance deadlines are met proactively ensuring zero late filings.
Corporate Secretarial & Investor Transactions
• Own the compliance calendar for all corporate secretarial requirements in coordination with the practicing CS
• Manage share issuances, cap table updates, board resolutions and MCA filings
• Oversee ISIN allotment, demat of shares and depository participant coordination when needed
• Administer the ESOP scheme, grant tracking, vesting schedules, exercise events and related filings
• Coordinate investor documentation, shareholder communications and data room management for fundraising and due diligence as needed
Legal Oversight
• Own all vendor contracts, employment agreements, commercial NDAs etc.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel on IP, trademark, and regulatory matters
• Manage BIS and other certification renewals, product compliance requirements etc.
• Proactively flag contractual and regulatory risk to the Senior Management
Internal Team & External Coordination
• Manage and mentor the internal Finance Team by owning their deliverables and development
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the CA firm, CS firm, RTA, banking partners etc.
• Build systems and processes that allow the finance and compliance function to scale with the business
Key Requirements:
Educational Background:
• Qualified CA
Experience:
• 6–8 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a D2C startup or FMCG company
• Hands-on experience in managing GST compliance for e-commerce or marketplace businesses
• Has independently owned statutory compliance, tax filings and corporate secretarial coordination
• Strong working knowledge of Companies Act and MCA filing requirements
• Proven ability to build systems and produce investor-grade MIS, financial reports etc.
• Working knowledge of Zoho Books
• Understanding of D2C financial metrics and marketplace settlement reconciliation
• Exposure to equity fundraising processes, due diligence, data rooms, cap table management etc.
• Prior experience with ESOP scheme administration and related filings is a good to have.
