About the role,
Our client is looking for a highly experienced and strategic finance professional to join their leadership team as a Head of Finance / CFO. This is a leadership role for a professional who can drive financial strategy, strengthen governance, optimize business performance, and support the company’s long-term growth plans.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial management, strategic planning, compliance, taxation, and commercial finance while working closely with leadership teams to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and business scalability.
As a key member of the leadership team, the candidate will be responsible for building strong financial systems, driving data-backed decision-making, managing investor and banking relationships, and ensuring financial discipline across the organization.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the overall finance function including budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and financial planning & analysis
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives
• Monitor business performance, profitability, cash flow, and working capital management
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, and audit management
• Drive strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies
• Partner with business and operational teams for commercial decision-making and cost optimization
• Manage banking relationships, funding requirements, treasury operations, and financial negotiations
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures and reporting processes
• Support leadership with strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and investment decisions
• Lead and mentor the finance team while improving financial processes and systems.
🔹 Requirements:
• Qualified CA is mandatory; MBA Finance / CFA will be an added advantage
• 8-10 years of relevant finance experience with significant exposure in leadership roles
• Proven experience as CFO, Finance Head, Financial Controller, or Senior Finance Manager
• Strong knowledge of financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, taxation, compliance, and audits.
• Expertise in cash flow management, treasury operations, working capital, and financial risk management.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, direct taxation, ROC compliance, and statutory regulations.
• Experience in handling large-scale financial operations and multi-functional business environments.
• Strong commercial and business finance exposure with ability to influence strategic decisions
• Experience in investor management, fundraising support, banking coordination, and financial negotiations preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and advanced Excel/MIS reporting.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, team handling, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with high ownership and accountability.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, consumer, retail, trading, logistics, or growth-stage organizations will be preferred.

Budget: ₹40 – ₹60 LPA
