As Head of Finance & Strategy, you will be a core strategic partner to the Founder & CEO, responsible for shaping Meolaa’s financial strategy, driving business decision-making, and building the financial infrastructure required to scale a global consumer company. Your primary focus will be on strategic finance, FP&A, and business finance, including financial modelling, capital allocation, unit economics, and investor readiness. You will work closely with category, growth, supply chain, and leadership teams to drive profitability and scalable growth. You will also oversee compliance, taxation, treasury, and financial governance, ensuring the company maintains strong financial discipline while operating at high velocity. This is a high-ownership role with direct impact on company strategy, fundraising, and long-term value creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Finance & FP&A (Primary Focus)
Own company-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic models. Build and maintain financial models for growth planning, new launches, and capital allocation. Track and analyse core business metrics including revenue, contribution margins, CAC, LTV, and unit economics. Partner with the Founder and leadership team on strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and resource allocation. Support fundraising, investor reporting, and financial storytelling
Business Finance & Commercial Strategy
Act as a finance partner to category, growth, and supply chain teams. Evaluate ROI across marketing, partnerships, pricing, and distribution channels. Analyse and optimise contribution margins and profitability across products and channels. Support expansion into new categories, geographies, and distribution channels. Drive financial discipline across business functions.
Treasury, Cash Flow, and Capital Efficiency
Manage cash flow planning, working capital, and runway optimisation. Build systems for capital allocation and financial efficiency. Oversee banking relationships, treasury operations, and fund utilisation.
Compliance, Taxation, and Financial Governance (Oversight Role) Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, and MCA compliance. Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory requirements. Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and audit readiness. Support due diligence for fundraising, partnerships, and strategic transactions
MIS, Reporting, and Financial Infrastructure
Build scalable MIS and reporting systems for leadership and investors
Develop automated reporting and financial dashboards
Ensure financial visibility across growth, operations, and supply chain
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience: CA mandatory. 5–10 years experience across strategic finance, FP&A, and business finance, ideally within beauty, fragrance, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
Skills: Experience in high-growth consumer startups, D2C, FMCG, or technology companies Strong financial modelling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills Experience supporting fundraising, investor reporting, or strategic planning is highly preferred High ownership mindset and ability to operate in fast-scaling environments
