About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead the finance function for a fast-growing retail organization in GCC. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong experience in multi-store retail finance, business partnering, financial planning, compliance, and commercial decision-making.
The role will work closely with executive leadership to drive financial performance, strengthen governance, and support the company's growth and expansion strategy. Retail finance leadership typically includes ownership of budgeting, FP&A, treasury, compliance, business partnering, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance & Accounts function for the GCC business.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and annual business plans.
- Drive accurate and timely financial reporting, MIS, and performance analysis.
- Manage the company's P&L, cash flow, working capital, treasury, and banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, GST, and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, audit, and risk management processes.
- Partner with business leaders to improve profitability, optimize costs, and support strategic decisions.
- Evaluate new store investments, expansion projects, and capital expenditure.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Drive finance process improvements, ERP optimization, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
- MBA (Finance) or CMA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Mandatory experience in retail, preferably within a multi-location business.
- Strong knowledge of FP&A, controllership, treasury, taxation, audit, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and support commercial decision-making. Retail finance leaders are increasingly expected to combine financial stewardship with business partnering and expansion support.
