Head Engineering
Location : Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Mission Statement: is responsible for leading the complete engineering function across all EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects. This role ensures technical excellence, design optimization, compliance with codes/standards, and seamless integration between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. The position drives efficiency, quality, and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Engineering Management practices within IEIL- Env Division
Major Actionable
- Develop and execute the overall engineering strategy for EPC projects.
- Build and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Process, Instrumentation, etc.).
- Define engineering standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Drive digital engineering tools (3D modeling, BIM, FEED,).
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and international standards.
- Conduct design reviews (PFD, P&ID, HAZOP, model reviews).
- Approve critical engineering documents, drawings, and technical calculations.
- Provide technical guidance to solve complex design and site-related issues.
- Coordinate closely with Procurement, Construction, Quality, HSE, and Commissioning teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Support procurement with technical evaluation of bids, vendor selection, and design clarifications.
- Work with construction teams to ensure constructability, material availability, and schedule alignment.
Compliance, Reporting & Training
- Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Optimize engineering solutions to achieve cost-effectiveness without compromising safety or quality.
- Monitor engineering schedules and ensure timely delivery of all design packages.
- Support project budgeting and forecasting for engineering scope.
- Mentor engineering managers, leads, and discipline engineers.
- Drive capability-building programs, training, and knowledge management.
- Recruit and develop high-performing engineering teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Deep technical understanding of engineering disciplines.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision‑making skills.

- Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, PDMS/E3D, ETAP, STAAD, Primavera, etc.).
- Expertise in risk analysis, quality systems, and project controls.
- On-time release of engineering deliverables.
- Engineering quality metrics (NCRs, rework levels, technical compliance).
- Cost optimization through value engineering.
- Client satisfaction and project performance.
- Team capability and productivity improvements.
