Designation: Head of Engineering

Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of engineering to lead our technology organization and drive engineering excellence as a strategic need and priority of Crimson’s business. This role will drive technical leadership, architectural ownership, people management and delivery accountability. The ideal candidate will shape engineering strategy, build high performing teams, and ensure scalable and high-quality product and application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 40 tech leads, engineers, product managers, testers and network engineers
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Define and govern architecture across product and application portfolio
- Establish and lead technical as well as delivery governance using Industry best practices
- Align delivery and execution to business and product priorities
- Introduce and establish AI enabled practices across development, testing and product workflows to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of people as well as delivery
- Lead technology modernization and tech debt reduction efforts
- Partner with business leaders to establish product roadmap, strategy and priority based execution
- Manage internal infrastructure including servers, network, end user systems and desktop support
- Ensure security, reliability and performance of corporate IT systems
- Manage IT partner and vendor relationships
Experience and Skills
- 15 years of relevant technology experience, with at least 2 years in a similar leadership role
- Hands on experience of development and strong understanding of architectural principles, estimation techniques and project management methodologies
- Hands on experience of .Net and Angular tech with deep understanding of API based architecture, databases and understanding of AWS infrastructure and its optimization
- Understanding of product management, design and UI/UX best practices
- Experience of managing engineering teams of 25+ people
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
