This is an opportunity to become the founding technical leader of our energy storage division.
âš¡ Role Overview
We are looking for a Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) expert who can lead the design, engineering, and deployment of storage solutions for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects.
This role will drive the technical architecture of Rocket Power’s storage products and EPC solutions.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
BESS System Design
- Design modular and containerized BESS solutions
- Battery sizing, architecture, and system integration
- LFP / NMC battery chemistry selection
Power Electronics Integration
- Integration with bidirectional inverters / PCS
- Grid synchronization and hybrid solar-storage systems
Battery Pack Engineering
- Cell selection and pack configuration
- Thermal management and safety systems
BMS & Energy Management
- Integration of Battery Management Systems
- Energy management for peak shaving, load shifting, and solar optimization
Product Development
Lead development of Rocket Power’s storage solutions:
- Rocket Cube (modular BESS)
- Power Box (containerized BESS)
- Industrial peak-shaving storage systems
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure systems meet IEC standards and safety protocols
- Support certification and system reliability
Project Execution
- Provide technical leadership during installation and commissioning
- Support EPC team with system design and optimization
🧠Skills Required
- Strong understanding of battery technologies (LFP / NMC)
- Experience with BMS architecture
- Knowledge of power electronics and PCS integration
- Experience in solar + storage systems
- Understanding of energy management systems
🎓 Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or related field
- 5+ years experience in energy storage, battery systems, or EV battery engineering
