HOD – French Department.
1. Core Purpose
To lead the French department by maintaining academic excellence, ensuring students are satisfied with their progress, and managing a motivated team of trainers.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Academic Leadership:
- Develop and update French curriculum and lesson plans.
- Align teaching materials with global standards like DELF, DALF, and TEF.
- Observe classes and mentor trainers to keep teaching quality high.
- Trainer Management:
- Lead the hiring and technical interview process for new French trainers.
- Manage trainer schedules and workloads to ensure efficiency.
- Conduct training workshops to help trainers improve their skills.
- Student Success:
- Monitor student progress and resolve any trainer-related issues.
- Manage "irregular" or inactive students to keep them engaged in their studies.
- Operations & Coordination:
- Work with the Sales and Operations teams to plan for new batches and trainer needs.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on department performance.
- Validate trainer invoices and maintain accurate data records.
3. Requirements
- Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in French, Linguistics, or Education.
- Certifications: High-level international proficiency credentials (e.g., DELF B2/C1/C2).
- Experience: 4–6 years of French teaching experience, with 1–2 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable using Google Sheets/Excel, Zoom/Teams, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
